The Kokeshi crafted by Yahagi-sensei showcase elaborate designs achieved through wood burning techniques, and are enhanced with vibrant dyes. Colors are layered, representing the essence of Japanese textiles at their finest. The facial details are elegantly rendered, featuring charming half-closed eyes, and occasionally, a delicately illustrated eyelid. The lips are painted a striking red, while rosy cheeks impart a delightful radiance. The attire is often stylish, adorned with captivating patterns and harmonious color combinations. They are highly coveted by collectors worldwide. Each piece is hand-signed in sumi-e ink and is often accompanied by her hanko on the bottom of the Kokeshi. Additionally the title of the Kokeshi and a name-plate may be included.
