Born in 1988 in Maebashi City, Gunma Prefecture, she is the daughter of esteemed Kokeshi artisan Tomidokoro Fumio. Her creations are distinguished by their vivid colors and exceptionally intricate decorations, each requiring many hours of meticulous work. Drawing inspiration from the natural beauty of Gunma, her motifs often include seasonal elements; she frequently experiments with design elements and themes. Her Kokeshi are characterized by childlike faces that radiate joy, innocence, and serenity.
