Takamizawa-san began crafting Sosaku Kokeshi in 1948 while living in Takasaki City, Gunma Prefecture. He established a studio that became a focal point for modern Creative Kokeshi making. Initially, his work featured natural wood tones with subtle wood-burning techniques and minimal paint. In the 1970s, he began incorporating more vibrant colors into his designs, further evolving his artistic style.

1981 Awarded the Prime Minister's Award, along with several other exhibition honors.
