Hagoromo legend

During a spring morning, Hakuryo, a fisherman domiciled in Miho no Matsubara, came upon a resplendent robe affixed to a pine branch whilst pursuing his fishing endeavors. When he attempted to claim the garment, a supernatural maiden materialized and earnestly beseeched him to return her feathered robe.

Originally, Hakuryo proved unwilling to comply with her request and maintained possession of the robe; yet he ultimately resolved to relinquish it contingent upon being granted the opportunity to observe the celestial maiden's sacred dance performance.

Wearing her feathered robe, the heavenly maiden executed an elaborate dance in homage to the Miho no Matsubara Pine Grove during the spring season. Afterward, she gracefully ascended toward Mt. Fuji and vanished into the sky.
