Miharu2  Miharu is the name of town in Fukushima prefecture and according to their town museum site. Miharau kokeshi was made around 1945 to 1965 a time known for its Kokeshi Boom where many new Kokeshi were being developed. The artists were a couple who lived near Funabiki cho in Fukushima Prefecture. They drew inspiration from Yajiro and Togatta styles with the advise of avid kokeshi collector Mr. Takahisada.
