Once upon a time, in a far-away land there lived a Marabou stork. This stork was amazingly big and other birds said to him "what a big bird you are we cannot find another creature as big as you". The stork was filled with pride and believed he was the biggest living thing in the world.
He decided to go on a show off tour, to impress other creatures with his size. He flew to many countries but he became tired. While flying over the ocean he spotted a pole of sorts and decided to land for a short break.
While he settled himself on the pole... which was really no pole at all! He heard a voice "Who is sitting on my antenna?" The stork answered with pride, "I am, the biggest living creature in the world". To this the voice said, "I am an Ise shrimp and there is still something bigger than you”. A huge shrimp then arose to the top of the sea. The shrimp, with a swoosh of his antenna, threw the stork to the top of the sky. The poor stork was vanished out of sight.
"Ha, Ha, Ha what a tiny fellow, how can he be the biggest." Then the shrimp thought to himself, "I am bigger than he." All of a sudden, he was filled with pride and wanted to impress others so he too went on a show off tour.
He visited many islands, but became tired. While looking for a place to rest in the ocean he found a cave in a huge mountain rising out of the water. "How lucky I am" thought the shrimp as he crawled into the cave.
While he was about to settle down comfortably, wiggling his antenna, he heard a booming voice "Who on earth is tickling my nose?". "I am" said the shrimp, "The biggest creature in the world".
The voice replied, "I am a whale and you just climbed into my nostril" so there is still something bigger than you.
"Heavens!" the shrimp realized the cave he had come to rest in was no cave but a great whale. He tried to wiggle himself out of his nostril, but that caused the whale to sneeze!
The shrimp went flying through the sky...He eventually began to descend falling on top of a big rock sticking out of the ocean.
"Ouch! Ouch!", Cried the shrimp alas his back had been bent and he could not straighten it out. It is said that since that time shrimps became much smaller with backs that are curved as though the shell was broken.
