Red radial lines painted on top of the head, in a circular array of red petals, like a chrysanthemum flower, centered on a green spot at the top of the divided bangs. These red ornaments, called tegara, are echoed by the array of red streaks fanned out below the bangs down both sides of the face behind the tufts of hair. Varying from short rays that merge together, to rather long ones, nearly every Tôgatta has them.
