Hanko Stamp reads 葉城 Hajiro or Yōjyo as the maker, although it could have other translations.  The title of this Kokeshi is 可憐 Karen, which can mean "pretty," "lovely," or simply "cute" (in the present sense). Many thanks to Yoshio K. for Providing the translation.  Kanazawa Tokushige  Tomoko Kobayashi Young: This doll is signed as 徳重 ( Tokushige ). His full name is Kanazawa Tokushige (金沢徳重)( 1920 - 1986 ). He is officially a Traditional Kokeshi artist / artisan from Fukushima prefecture , no more record of his master etc so he might be one of the self thought artist.   You can find his name on ' Dento - Kokeshi - Koujinroku 伝統こけし工人録'. Oizumi Masa  Yashiro Tetsuen (八代鉄園)  Artist : 八代鉄園 Yashiro Tetsuen. He is not officially listed in creative Kokeshi books because his dolls are creative style inspired by traditional Kokeshi. This style is referred to as Shingata Kokeshi. The last name "Tetsuen"' is passed on to the next generation of makers. Now is the 2nd generation I think. The 2nd Tetsuen is female and she is called Nidaime Tetsuen also a 2nd generation of Tetsuen, her real name is Hamazu Chiyoko. She is the sister in law of Yashiro Tetsuen (the master, 1st generation) also she is the wife of Hamazu Heizanuro, the Traditional Yajiro Kokeshi artist and. His master is Niiyama Sanai. Arto Kokeshi?  I'm not 100% certain that these are "Japanese" Kokeshi. I have not found any information on them. Masako Ueki.jpg  This Kokeshi has been identified as a "Hot Water System" Kokeshi. Which usually classifies it under "Tsugaru" the artisan is Ueki Masako DOB 1908. I initially thought it to be a creative doll still on the fence about the type. Artisan could have been transitional. Miura Setsuko (1952-)  Sazamai Dance which is Eagle dancing. This particular dance is performed in festive occation like New Years. The dance is thought to vanish unhappyness. This is a Shingata style Kokeshi Design. Setsuko has been awarded several awards at All Nippon Kokeshi contest since 1974.  Melody by Miura Setsuko born in 1952 in Akita Prefecture a female Kokeshi Artisan and winner of the Minister of Education Award. Yamagishi Masayoshi  Recipient of the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fishery prize.  Yamagishi Masayoshi  Yasunobu Oki  Yasunobu was born in 1955 in Fukoko Prefecture Jpaan. He studied fine arts & design. His apprenticed under Sekiguchi, Sansaku. In 1996 won the Gunma Modern Kokeshi Contest with the highest award, Prime Minister's award.
